Climb the awesome January Jigsaw in Glen Coe -

See Map of Route

Start from the A84 road, at the head of Glen Ogle and at the south edge of a forestry area. There is a bridge over the disused railway line. A useful walk for the short daylight hours this month!

Take the bridge to continue SW along the edge of the wood and beyond, over pretty bumpy ground. The small top of Meall Sgallachd should be to your south as you gain the summit ridge.

Pass a tall cairn and reach the twin tops of the summit; the northern top is slightly higher. To return retrace your steps back to the road.

Maps: OS Sheet 51 'Loch Tay & Glen Dochart'
Distance: 6 km
Ascent: 520 m
Time: 3 hours
Food & Drink: The Kingshouse at the turnoff for Balquhidder probably wins for atmosphere.
