| Description: |
Gary has been climbing for over twenty years and is one of the leading Scottish summer activists, having pioneered and repeated quality rock climbs of every standard throughout the Highlands and Islands.
He has established hundreds of new routes, including the most difficult lines at places as diverse as Sheigra, Stac Pollaidh, The Cobbler, Dun Mingulay and Erraid.
Gary has worked as an instructor and guide since the early nineties and through his work attempts to inspire people to travel and explore as well as pushing their own personal limits.
Some of his recent highlights with clients include over a dozen good first ascents on some excellent gneiss crags in Sutherland over two days and some fantastic new lines on the Mome Rath Face in Glen Coe.
His best routes to date include; Culach (E4 6a, Reiff); Here and Now (E6 6b, Sheigra); Arcadia (E7 6b, Glen Nevis); Dalriada (E8 6b,The Cobbler); Perfect Monsters (E7 6b, Dun Mingulay); The Bonxie (E6 6b, Pabbay). |
